You operate
your soundcard, your software synthesizer, your midi expander already
with your computer screen or display with a mouse or 'tiny' buttons. Real
controllers are much better to operate than virtual ones. Nearly all sound
cards, expanders or software synthesizers allow the external control of
their parameters via MIDI
controllers. So far the price of control boxes - indispensable for each
user - stood in flagrant contradiction to the price of the software
or sound card.
128 different configurations
immediately available, for each application is something 'on board'.
- compact MIDI control box
with 16 rotary controls (rotary potentiometers)
- dimensions: about 17x7x4
cm
- 128 presets with useful
assignement of MIDI events to the 16 knobs (e.g. current software synthesizer,
XG controller, 16 x volume on the 16 MIDI channels and so on)
- the following Midi messages
can be generated by Pocket Control: any controller, after touch, pitch
bend, common RPN resp. NRPN controller, as well as most of the current
GS and XG controllers resp. XG SysEx messages (free programmable SysEx
messages are not possible, this feature allow e.g. Drehbank
or Regelwerk)
- the MIDI channel can be
set for each control separately (of course all knobs may transmit on
the same channel too, any combinations of MIDI message and MIDI channel
are possible)
- preset selection via DIP
switch at the rear panel
- snapshot button or via
incoming MIDI program change messages
- MIDI In, MIDI Out
- merge feature (incoming
MIDI data are merged to the MIDI data generated by the Pocket Control)
- the editor program (PC
version) enables the user to program his own 128 presets. This means
that you can define the function of each of the 16 controllers in your
own 128 presets. You no longer depend on the factory presets ! The program
can be downloaded
free of charge -
e.g. to test the programming possibilities before you purchase the Pocket
Control
- If you are not sure if
the Pocket Control is the right choice for your application you may
